The short version
- You don't need an account, and we don't ask for your name or email to play.
- Your progress is saved only on your device.
- Ads are shown by Google AdMob, which uses your device's advertising ID and some device information.
- Purchases are handled by Google Play. We never see your payment details.
- We don't sell your personal information.
Who we are
This policy covers the mobile game Lantern Keeper (“the game”), made by Pocketspell Studios (“we”, “us”). If you have a question about this policy, email support@pocketspellstudios.com.
What the game stores on your device
The game saves your progress, settings, unlocks and achievements in your phone's local storage. This data stays on your device. We don't upload it to our own servers, and we can't see it. If you uninstall the game or clear its data, this saved progress is deleted.
Ads
The game shows ads using Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, AdMob may collect:
- Your device's advertising ID
- Your IP address, which can be used to estimate your general location
- Basic device information, such as model, operating system and language
- How you interact with ads, and diagnostic data such as crashes and ad load times
Google uses this data to serve ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance and prevent fraud. Depending on your settings and where you live, ads may be personalized to your interests. You can read how Google uses data at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Your choices about ads
- Players in the EEA, UK and Switzerland will be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown, using Google's consent tools. You can change your choice from the game's settings.
- Everyone on Android can reset or delete their advertising ID. On most phones this is under Settings → Google → Ads or Settings → Privacy → Ads. After you delete it, ads are no longer personalized with that ID.
In-app purchases
Purchases in the game are processed by Google Play. Google handles your payment details under the Google Privacy Policy. We never receive your card or bank information. When you buy something, Google Play tells the game the purchase went through, along with an order number, so the game can unlock it and restore it if you reinstall.

Children
Lantern Keeper is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, California or the European Union), you may have the right to know what personal data is held about you, to delete it, or to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising. We don't hold game data on our servers, so most requests are about ad data, which Google manages. You can control it with the advertising ID settings above and at My Ad Center. For anything else, email us and we'll help.
Keeping data safe and how long we keep it
Game data stays on your device until you delete the game or its data. Support emails are kept only as long as we need them to help you. Google keeps ad and purchase data according to its own policies.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the game handles data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Big changes will also be noted in the game's update notes.
